An Evening with Preti Taneja

The evening will be chaired by Asian Culture Vulture (http://www.asianculturevulture.com) editor Sailesh Ram and Globooks ( http://www.globooks.net) founder and editor Philip Chadha will give a short introduction to the event.
Taneja’s novel is an imaginative and bold retelling of Shakespeare’s ‘King Lear’ set in contemporary India and brings her both her profound engagement and considerable erudition to startling effect in the pages of ‘We That Are Young’.
Published by the independent Galley Beggar Press, Taneja’s novel is an exploration of modern India and a particular family trying to negotiate the challenges.There will be an array of indian snack and refreshments available on the night.
