An Evening with Paul Starkey, Youssef Rakha and Gaby Wood

The Saif Ghobash Banipal Arabic Literary Translation Prize 2015.

Join us to celebrate and congratulate Paul Starkey, who has won this year’s Arabic Literary Translation Prize for his translation of Youssef Rakha’s novel The Book of the Sultan’s Seal.
 
The Book of the Sultan’s Seal, published at the height of the Egyptian Revolution in 2011, is one of the most adventurous and innovative novels to have appeared in Arabic in recent years and its English version is a tour de force of translation.”
 
Paul and Youssef will be in conversation with Gaby Wood. The evening which also includes readings, audience Q&A and book signing. All welcome!
