Friday 14th October marks the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings. What better way to mark this than joining us in store Thurs 20th Oct as Pat Robson discusses her novel Saxon Shield, Norman Sword which tells the story of two teenagers who are caught up in the catastrophic events that took place the autumn of 1066.

Saxon Shield, Norman Sword has been short-listed for the Children's Story Award at the Wells Literary Festival this October.

Pat will be giving a short talk which will be followed by a dramatic reading of the text from two young readers! There will then be a chance to mingle, some complimentary wine, and a chance to have your copy of the book signed!

The event begins at 18:30 but doors open at 18:00.
