An Evening with Matt Coyne
Thursday 27th April 19:00 - 20:30 at Sheffield - Orchard Square
Are you an exhausted parent of small children? Need a great night out with some fellow sufferers? * and wine
Join us for a fun, fabulous and irreverent evening with local Sheffield author, Matt Coyne AKA Man vs Baby as he shares his hilarious tales of becoming a first time Dad.
Matt Coyne became a hero for thousands of parents everywhere when after three months of fatherhood, he logged on to Facebook and shared his experience of being newly responsible for ‘a furious, sleep-murdering, unstable and incontinent, breasts-obsessed midget lodger’.
Within days his post went viral worldwide, shared over 100,000 times and led to him continuing to share his triumphs and disasters on his Facebook blog, Man vs Baby. It now has over 148,000 followers.
His new book DUMMY is not your average parenting guide. It's packed with completely impractical advice for the bewildered new mum or dad - stuff you won't find anywhere else: from 'Profanity Bingo' for labour to a categorisation of various nappy disasters. But, more than that, it is the story of how becoming a parent is a kind of beautiful insanity - a thing that changes you.
Above all, Dummy will keep you laughing through the exhaustion, the mystery and the madness of bringing up your own children.
This is the parenting book for real people.
