Thursday 18th May 19:30 at Reading - Broad Street

As part of the fun of Reading Children's Festival here's an event just for parents.

Then join us for a fun, fabulous and irreverent evening with Matt Coyne AKA Man vs Baby as he shares his hilarious tales of becoming a first time Dad, plus comedians Ellie Gibson and Helen Thorn AKA the Scummy Mummies.

Matt's new book
Dummy is packed with completely impractical advice for the bewildered new mum or dad from 'Profanity Bingo' for labour to a categorisation of various nappy disasters. But more than that it is the story of how becoming a parent is a kind of beautiful insanity - a thing that changes you.

Scummy Mummies new book Scummy Mummies is a celebration of parenting failures, hilarious confessions, fish fingers and wine. This combines true stories from the authors and personal confessions from real life parents - your guide to getting through the trials and the tantrums and surviving those Calpol years.

Get Reading's Francesca Perryman will be trying to keep them all in order for the evening and chairing a fabulous Q&A!
