An evening with Liu Hong

An evening in conversation with Liu Hong, featuring a reading and Q& A session. 

Join Liu Hong, an author born in North-East China, who came to britain in 1989 and has since released works of fiction including The Magpie Bridge and Wives of the East Wind.

After taking a break she returns with the beautiful 'The Good Women of Fudi' which is an incomparable tale of love, loss and intrigue whilst investigation societal norms and the cost of gender restrictions in an Imperial Chinese- Edwardian England setting. 

The Author will be in discussion with Susie Jolly, who holds decades of experience working on gender and sexuality within China, and has known Liu Hong for over forty years.
