An evening with Jordan Stephens

We are delighted to welcome musician, actor and author Jordan Stephens to Manchester's Contact Theatre, in celebration of his candid, moving and profoundly original memoir: Avoidance, Drugs, Heartbreak and Dogs.  Diagnosed twice with ADHD, Jordan Stephens' adolescence was a brutal whirlwind of career success, destructive behaviours, nuturing friendships and heartbreak. After his world exploded, Jordan chose to step away from his previous existence completely and allowed himself to finally explore the pain he'd repressed his entire life.
Jordan joins us to dicuss his life and career, as well answer audience questions. 

About the author

JORDAN STEPHENS is a writer and performer, and one hald of the chart-topping duo Rizzle Kicks, who have sold over 600,000 records in the UK. Having been publicly open with his own struggles surrounding mental health, Jordan has been active in creating awareness around the stigma. 

His mental health campaign #IAMWHOLE reached over 120 million people online and was mentioned in the Houses of Parliament. His children's book The Missing Pieces was shortlisted for the 2023 Waterstones Children's Book Prize.
