An Evening with Jay Kristoff at Hoxton Hall, London

Join us at the atmospheric Hoxton Hall for what promises to be a brilliant evening of conversation with bestselling fantasy authors Jay Kristoff and Joe Abercrombie, as Jay visits the UK for this exclusive event on Halloween.

Jay Kristoff’s Empire of the Vampire, published last September, is the first volume in an astonishing new dark fantasy saga. For nearly three decades, vampires have waged war against humanity; building their eternal empire even as they tear down our own. Now, only a few tiny sparks of light endure in a sea of darkness a lone warrior, captured by victorious vampires, tells his chilling, unputdownable tale. A tale of legendary battles and forbidden love, of faith lost and friendships won.

Now, a year on, we are celebrating the publication of the beautiful Illustrated Special Edition, boasting a stunning cover, endpapers and illustrations from Bon Orthwick, with a one-off special event.

Since his debut Stormdancer in 2012, Jay Kristoff has wasted no time in building several distinct – and highly successful - fantasy universes. He is the internationally bestselling author of The Nevernight Chronicles, The Illuminae Files and The Lotus War.

Jay Kristoff will be in conversation with fellow fantasy writer Joe Abercrombie, best known for the First Law trilogy – The Blade Itself, Before They Are Hanged and Last Argument of Kings – and the stand-alone novels in the same world – Best Served Cold, The Heroes, and Red Country. His latest novel, The Wisdom of Crowds, concludes the Age of Madness trilogy and was published in 2021.

The Illustrated Special Edition & Ticket bundle includes Jay Kristoff’s Empire of the Vampire: Illustrated Special Edition.

Livestream ticketholders will receive a link to access the event, via YouTube, a couple of days before the event.
