Waterstones, London - Piccadilly

'People often ask me: Why do so many writers come from Ireland? And I tell them that the clue is in the question. It is because we are from Ireland and this is a magical place.'
Eoin Colfer
Fans of storytelling magic, Ireland and children’s literature are invited to Waterstones Piccadilly to celebrate Once Upon a Place, a collection of stories and poems by Ireland’s foremost children’s authors, commissioned by Eoin Colfer in his role as Laureate na n’Óg, the Children’s Laureate of Ireland, and illustrated by P J Lynch.
The stories in Once Upon a Place are varied, but each is set in or inspired by a place in Ireland. Find out more about the book, the places that inspired it and Ireland’s storytelling magic at this special event.
A fantastic opportunity to meet three of Ireland’s star authors, participate in a Q&A and get a signed copy of this beautiful book.
This event is recommended for readers of all ages.
