An Evening with Eli Goldstone & Rowan Hisayo Buchanan
Thursday 18th May 19:00 at Manchester - Deansgate
Waterstones Deansgate is delighted to welcome Eli Goldstone and Rowan Hisayo Buchanan to Manchester to celebrate the release of their acclaimed début novels.
Eli Goldstone's 'Strange Heart Beating' is a darkly funny, seductive novel that confronts the black undercurrent of possession inherent in love. It's been described by the Bailey's prizewinning Lisa McInerney as 'funny and tender... but so ferocious, sweeping its reading towards wholly devastating realisations'
Rowan Hisayo Buchanan's 'Harmless Like You' has been described by Lorrie Moore as 'a brilliant début, with cause for celebration', and is an unforgettable novel about the complexities of identity, art, adolescent friendships and familial bonds, offering a unique exploration of love, loneliness and reconciliation.
Join us on Thursday 18th May at 7pm as both of these wonderful writers discuss their work before answering questions from the audience and signing copies of their books.
Tickets are £3, and include a glass of wine or soft drink on arrival and are available online and in store.
