An evening with David Almond and Chloe Daykin

David Almond and Chloe Daykin will talk about their latest books The Colour of The Sun  and The Boy Who Hit Play. These two inspirational writers will discuss words, magic, darkness, and trouble, as well as explore the ways in which stories can bring light and joy into the world.

The event will be chaired by children's book reviewer Imogen Russell Williams.

David Almond is a multi award winning author - including the Carnegie Medal, two Whitbread Awards, the Eleanor Farjeon Award, The Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize & the Hans Christian Anderson Award.  

Chloe Daykin’s debut novel Fish Boy received wonderful critical acclaim won the Northern Writers Award and is currently shortlisted for the Branford Boase award 2018.
