An Evening of Poetic Licence
Thursday 5th October 18:30 at London - Gower Street
Zia Ahmed is from North West London, he was shortlisted to be Young Poet Laureate for London in 2015 and is a Roundhouse Poetry Slam champion.
Little Grape Jelly is a poetry collective formed of Lily Ashley, James Massiah and Grace Pilkington. They have performed at Hay and Aldeburgh festivals and recently published "Hell-P Me".
Cecilia Knapp's one woman show "Finding Home" is about a lot of things: growing up, mothers, make-shift dens, accidentally shaving off your eyebrows, drinking wine, love and one-night stands. It is currently on tour. Her debut poetry collection will be published by Burning Eye Books.
Sabrina Mahfouz grew up in Cairo and London. Poet and playwright, her most recent poetry collection is "How You Might Know Me". She has also edited "The Things I Would Tell You", an anthology of Muslim women writers.
Selina Nwulu is a former Young Poet Laureate for London; her debut "The Secrets I Let Slip" is inspired by themes of social justice, protest, identity and, on occasion, failed dreams of becoming a rock star.
Deanna Rodger is a writer, performer and teacher. "I Did It Too" is hot off the press - timeless poems that embody the politics of state and person, the city and the universe.
