An American Marriage: an evening with Women’s Prize winner Tayari Jones

Tuesday 19th November 19:00 at St. James's Church, 197 Piccadilly, London, W1J 9LL

Tayari Jones, winner of the 2019 Women’s Prize for Fiction, will be joining us to discuss her novel An American Marriage with BBC journalist and broadcaster Samira Ahmed.

A powerful story about love and family, injustice and strength, An American Marriage is a tender and humane dissection of what happens to a relationship when unforeseen events conspire to sabotage it. Through An American Marriage, Tayari Jones proves she is not just a masterful storyteller, but also a visionary writer, unafraid to address important issues about race, class and society head-on.

Alongside the award-winning An American Marriage which has taken both the media and readers by storm, Tayari Jones is the author of four novels including The Untelling, Leaving Atlanta, and Silver Sparrow, which will be published by Oneworld in Spring 2020.

Tayari will be interviewed by Samira Ahmed, award winning journalist and broadcaster for the BBC. This event will include a signing with Tayari Jones. Please note that due to time constraints, Tayari will only be able to sign copies of An American Marriage.

Please join us for what promises to be a great evening.
