A Very Short Introduction: Universites and Colleges
Wednesday 17th October 12:15 - 13:00 at Oxford
We are teaming up with IF Oxford Science and Ideas Festival to bring you a week of incredible events. From the 15th-22nd of October we will be holding a variety of talks and discussions where scientific research is explored, challenged, celebrated and enjoyed.
Universites and Colleges with David Palfreyman
12:15-1pm, Waterstones Oxford Third Floor
Examine the role of the university in a social and economic context, not just a repository of knowledge or a site for instruction. David Palfreyman considers how universities are founded, funded, governed, lead, and managed. Review how increased fees have affected their relationship with students and judge the futures for higher education.
Tickets are limited and must be booked in advance to attend.
