The James Cropper Wainwright Prize 2022 Winners
It is our pleasure to confirm Goshawk Summer by James Aldred as the winner of the 2022 James Cropper Wainwright Prize for Nature Writing and Eating to Extinction by Dan Saladino as the winner of the Prize for Writing on Global Conservation. In its inaugural year, the James Cropper Wainwright Prize for Children's Writing on Nature & Conservation is awarded to The Biggest Footprint by Rob and Tom Sears.
The judging panel also recognised four other books as highly commended: Otherlands by Thomas Halliday and On Gallows Down by Nicola Chester in the Nature Writing category, Wild Fell by Lee Schofield in the Conservation category, and October, October, written by Katya Balen and illustrated by Angela Harding, in the Children’s category.
