Our cosy shop is perfectly placed right at the heart of Durham's beautiful city centre, with walks along the river Wear and the iconic Durham Cathedral just a stone's throw from our doorstep.

Inside, we've a dedicated team of passionate, enthusiastic and knowledgeable booksellers who are always ready with a smile and love nothing more than to recommend a new book that's been taking their breath away that week.

We have a vibrant, and often highly praised Children's department, including regular weekend StoryTimes and a fortnightly reading group for 9-12 year olds.

As well as a wonderfully varied array of Crime and Fiction, our Science Fiction & Fantasy section has pride of place on our First Floor. Our First Floor is also home to most of our Non-Fiction sections including History, Travel , Biography and Food & Drink.
