‘There were once three brothers who were travelling along a lonely, winding road at twilight…’

So begins ‘The Tale of the Three Brothers’; a fairy tale, a clue, a secret that unlocks the mysterious Deathly Hallows. Now readers can possess their own copy of the book that Dumbledore bequeaths to Hermione, as translated by her from the original runes. Read about the legacy of the Elder Wand, The Cloak of Invisibility and The Resurrection Stone – the ultimate magical talismans and the key to defeating death itself. Along with five original tales, this collection also contains Dumbledore’s own notes on the folklore of the magical world.

Waterstones invites you to enter the fairy tales, myths and legends that lie at the heart of J.K. Rowling’s final, thrilling conclusion to the Harry Potter series.

Are you listening closely? Then we’ll begin. Once upon a time…

Published in conjunction with the charity Lumos, founded by J.K. Rowling, sales of this book help to support children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
