The winner of 2018’s Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for his novel Less, American author Andrew Sean Greer counts John Updike, Michael Chabon, Dave Eggers and John Irving among his many fans. An identical twin, Greer grew up in Washington DC and after several years working variously – in his own words – as a ‘chauffeur, television extra and unsuccessful writer’ he started writing for magazines including The New Yorker and published the acclaimed short-story collection How It Was for Me.
