MEDIA REVIEWS

Famous for their love of meat, motorbikes and 'man food', the Hairy Bikers are unlikely advocates of a vegetarian lifestyle.
But, having shed more than six stone between them by concocting quick and easy dishes that were also low in calories, the pair have now cooked up a book of meat-free recipes.
For the fifth volume of their multi-million-selling Hairy Dieters series, Si King and Dave Myers hope to show that going vegetarian can be just as easy as going low-cal, and needn't mean missing out on the foods you love.

The much-loved British food heroes, The Hairy Bikers, return with yet another dieting book, this time packed full of simple but tasty vegetarian meals which prove that incorporating more plant-based dishes into your diet needn't be difficult or bland. You'll fall in love with their cheeky, down-to-earth humour and their healthier takes on popular British classics such as Lancanshire hot pot, pasties and toad in the hole. Meanwhile, those with more exotic palates are bound to enjoy the Latin American shepherd's pie or paneer and pea curry. * THE INDEPENDENT *

You may have noticed the Si King and Dave Myers are half the men they used to be. If you need to trim a few inches, or just get your five-a-day, check out their brand new Hairy Dieters Go Veggie cookbook.
It features 80 healthy recipes for those that aren't into quinoa and kale (think Lancashire hotpot and veggie sausies).

* THE SCOTSMAN *
Non-meat eaters will be delighted to know that loveable duo The Hairy Bikers have added a vegetarian title to their Hairy Dieters cookbook series. Within its pages are 80 incredibly versatile recipes, including Vegetarian Lancashire Hotpot, Proper Chilli and MushroomBourguignon. This is bound to be a bestseller. * CHOICE *
SI King and Dave Myers, aka TV's culinary double-act The Hairy Bikers, are a refreshing alternative to today's earnest food bloggers. Their blend of cheeky humour and no-nonsense great cooking has won them millions of fans. Their latest book, The Hairy Dieters Go Veggie, takes the sacrificial out of slimming, showing that you can lose weight with food you enjoy. You'd think the Sunday-roast-loving authors would be unlikely candidates to go veggie; you'll be surprised. In their quest for better health, they are eating less meat. So they bring us recipes where 'vegetables, pulses and other plant foods are the star of the show'. -- Juanita Coulson * THE LADY *
