THE GRANDFATHER - My grandad is the best chef in the world! (Paperback)

The idea behind the book came from one of my three grandchildren, Freya who kept on telling her teachers at school and probably anyone else that would listen, that she always helped her grandad cook, because; "He is a chef" and; "my Grandad is the best chef in the world", something that I won't discourage her from saying until she's old enough to realise I'm not.

It took me back to when I was younger helping my lovely neighbour Auntie Winnie, who would look after me while my mother and father were at work and do lunch. When I say 'help', it was usually mashing the potatoes.....incidentally I still use the very same potato masher from Auntie Winnie, it must be close on 50 years old.

As a retired chef I personally believe that children should be encouraged with the help of an adult, from an early age to know the basics of cooking....after all it's an important part of life, just as paying your bills and going out to work.

Here I have put together, with the help of my three sous chefs and beautiful grandchildren Freya, Freddy and Summer-Rai, easy to follow, adult friendly dishes, to cook together.

The dishes are in no particular order....it's for kids to enjoy, no starter, desserts or main courses here.....just children enjoying to learn how to cook.
