Journey back in time to a place now long vanished.

These previously unpublished photographs by David Granick capture the streets and waterways of London’s East End in the warm hues of Kodachrome film.

This book accompanies an exhibition running 3 February - 5 May 2018 at Tower Hamlets Local History Library & Archives.

David Granick (1912 - 1980) was a photographer who lived in the East End his whole life. His colour slides lay untouched until 2017 when a local photographer, Chris Dorley-Brown, examined them at Tower Hamlets Local History Library & Archives.

"The collection is very comprehensive, I was instantly excited by their sheer quality and beauty, I think this is a very valuable discovery for London's photographic history." - Chris Dorley Brown, BBC
