It should be no surprise to find myself writing a novel about life within a pub. Although there stands no ancestral connection to my knowledge, between myself, and that of the 'Bullard and Sons Ltd' brewing company, of the late nineteenth century. There is an overwhelming connection between my-self, this pub, and the many changing faces of ownership and drinkers within. Forgiveness is granted to those that thought 'Tales of the Norfolk Hero' would venture Lord Nelson. It does not. The Norfolk Hero is a local's pub that is in the Norfolk Town of Swaffham. Swaffham; nigh famous. Where the mention to most, would recall; a Lottery Lout. Wind Turbines, and perhaps the Splashes; the non luxurious caravan park on the out-skirts west of the Town. Embers of a once thriving Market town dwindle like the tale of John Chapman.
