This bill is being jointly promoted by Offshore Energy Resources Ltd and Solway Offshore Ltd, who are seeking the right to build an offshore wind farm on the Robin Rigg sand banks in the Solway Firth; and to obstruct navigation and fishing in order to operate and maintain it. The works will include up to 60 wind turbine generators mounted on towers secured by foundations beneath the seabed, as well as a network of cables buried beneath the seabed connecting the wind turbine generators to a substation and to a landing point on the English coast near Flimby.
