Like its predecessor (Multi-Ethnic Canada: Identities and Inequalities, 1996), Race and Ethnicity: Finding Identities and Equalities is a comprehensive survey of race and ethnic relations in Canada . Combining insights from many disciplines besides sociology--including anthropology, psychology, economics, politics, and history--it begins with an introductory review of theoretical concepts before moving on to examine empirical demographic data, ethnic identity and solidarity, socioeconomic stratification, and finally, racism and human rights.
