The Australasian Conference on Parallel and Real-Time Systems is the premier event in this research area in the Pacific. This text is made up of the proceedings of the 6th annual event, held in Melbourne in November and December 1999. The primary aim of the conference is to bring together Australasian and International researchers, who are actively involved in research on parallel and real-time systems.
