Omens, signs and portents - surely it's not the end of the world? Or is it... Mercurio the Magnificent? Mercurio the Rubbish, more like - and his name isn't even Mercurio. Oswald's dad is a fake fortune teller and when he predicts utter disaster, Oswald doesn't believe a word of it. But on the mysterious island of Idlegreen, there's definitely something strange going on - and a new star in the sky is coming closer every day... It's Angela Carter for kids - perfect for fans of Diana Wynne Jones

I thought it was wicked! The characters are really bizarre and cool and the ending was a total shock. It really has loads of twists I read it really quickly.
