This book achieves what it sets out to do and gives a most thorough insight into modelling all aspects of the Welsh narrow-gauge passenger lines. It is also well illustrated with over 200 photographs, all in colour. It’s pleasingly accurate over detail. The fact that the FR is such an attractive line to model, and is thus so popular, is no surprise, but does add to the appeal of this book.
