This Code is Part 7 of the Institute of Petroleum Model Code of Safe Practice in the Petroleum Industry. Its purpose is to provide guidance on safe practice in the siting, layout, design, construction and operation of aircraft fuelling facilities and associated equipment at airports, and the design, construction and operation of fuellers, hydrant dispensers and ancilliary equipment used in fuelling aircraft. The Code is primarily intended for application in civil airports, but many of the practices and procedures are suitable for military operations, except where they conflict with specific regulations and codes designed to fulfil military requirements.
