Team Jamie or Team Jinx? Which handsome hunk will Lucky choose - once she's dealt with the demon assassin on her trail, that is?

Lucky's always known about her own psychic powers - after all, her closest friend is a ghost - but she knows nothing of her long-dead family . . . until a daemonic assassin brings a message that drags both Kayla and Lucky down to the Underlands - and into the political fight for the daemon king's throne.

Lucky's determined to find her way home, but Jinx and Jamie have both marked her - and now she's not sure she even wants to escape the loving attentions of her handsome winged Guardian and her devilishly charming horned Deathbringer.

And if she stays, she might just find out who she really is . . .

'Reads like the Sookie Stackhouse series combined with the sinister undertones of Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere' says Booklist.

MEDIA REVIEWS
Powerfully creepy Marked is a gripping and tantalisingly sexy read. I loved the strong-willed psychic protagonist Lucky, as well as the courtly intrigue, terrifying supernatural assassins, and thought-provokingly buff daemon bodyguards. Team Jinx Great fun and a delight to read A beautifully written well flowing Urban fantasy/fantasy with a terrific story and some really really great characters . . . Mr Kerfuffle and Mr Shenanigans (ha ha brilliant) are simply the best duo I've seen in fantasy fiction for a while. Marked is instantly absorbing . . . will certainly leave a lasting impression. Good for fans of Laini Taylor . . . and Deborah Harkness, Marked is magical and other worldly without losing the feeling of wonder that comes with having human narration and worries in a world that doesn't make sense any more. I loved this book. The characters, the atmosphere, the humour, the romance, it all worked. Marked is a wonderful debut for Tingey Any Neil Gaiman fan should feel right at home with the style of this book, as it's smartly and compellingly written with some confident prose. 8/10. This is the kind of story that sucks readers in very quickly and you end up completely losing track of time while you're reading . . . Marked is a fantastic start to this new series I was enthralled. A strong and interesting debut Tantalising, sexy, witty, fun and fresh. Marked is the perfect read for any romance fans looking to dip their toe into the worlds of science fiction and fantasy! Marked reads like a PG-13 version of the Sookie Stackhouse series, combined with some of the sinister and thought-provoking undertones of Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere. This is great fun . . . an enjoyable urban romp. And I'm very much looking forward to the sequel to see what happens next

Marked is a gripping and immersive story . . . I absolutely loved this book and nearly everything about it

A thrill ride to the very end. The intrigue and action began immediately, drawing the reader in and keeping their eyes glued to the pages . . . I cannot wait to see where it goes from here

Compelling, debut, urban fantasy . . . this is a brisk paranormal tale, with outstanding world-building, a large cast of well drawn characters, and an intricate plot, filled with intrigue and adventure.

This is great fun. I really like Lucky. Feisty, with plenty of edge, which she needs when being regularly ambushed by ghosts. I enjoyed the way the book quickly shifts from the tense, opening scene into another direction entirely. I absolutely loved this book!! I got so stuck into it that I read it in just a few hours. Not only is the author wonderful, but she is also hilarious and capable of writing the story of a strong female lead

“love and monsters”

Finished this quickly and enjoyed it, though wasn't a 4 or 5 stars for me. Possibly, I was oversold this and was expecting a kick-ass heroine who would would be whip smart and funny, but Lucky was a bit more... More
