This volume of proceedings examines advances in the clinical treatment of Parkinson's Disease. The proceedings start off with an interim report on the results of a four-year programme of treating Parkinson's Disease with bromocriptine - a therapy rarely conducted outside Japan. Other papers determine the role of neural transplantation in therapy or the pharmacohistochemical correlation between neurotransmitters in the basal ganglia and motor disturbances in Parkinson's Disease. One paper asks how closely progressive siderosis of the substantia nigra is connected with the outbreak of the disease, and to what extent Parkinson's Disease is responsible for autonomic failure such as multiple system atrophy.
