This course is written especially for the Junior Secondary Religious and Moral education syllabus in Ghana. It develops sound religious and moral principals thus enabling students to grow up as relgious, moral and responsible adults able to make sound decisions in today's changing world. The Teacher's Book is designed to help the reader teach the Religous and Moral Studies syllabus. The four aims of the syllabus are: to help students develop an understanding and tolerance of other people's faiths; to develop an awareness of their Creator and the purpose of their existence; to know the difference between good and bad behaviours so that they can make the right decisions in any situations; to become responsible citizens, capable of maintaining peace, understanding and order in their lives, and in the lives of their families; and to develop appropriate skills and judgements that should enable them to cope with the variety of moral choices they have to face in today's changing world. Focusing on these aims, the authors give detailed suggestions for each lesson with a wide variety of interesting and imaginative suggestions. Each book ends with a revision section. The final book has an extensive revision section concentrating on preparing students for the Basic Certificate Examination in Religious and Moral Studies.
