This report sets out a work programme incorporating a sseries of structure tests to facilitate an efficient and co-ordinated field trial. It describes the structured tests and the testing programme that are conducted on the Orange National Host so that Orange Personal Communication Service and the consortium partners can assess, functionally, the potential benefits of adaptive antennas deployed on causal mobile networks. The series of reports results from Technology in Smart Antennas for Universal Advanced Mobile Infrastructure (Part II), a major research project on the application of adaptive antennas (AA) to the next generation of universal mobile telecommunications systems (MTS). The testbed network configuration on which the trial basestation sub-system is to be hosted and the TSUNAMI II field tial project plan are defined in annexes. The field trial consists of characteristic examination of multilayer cellular universal mobile telecommunication systems (UMTS), including both macrocellular and a microcellular basestation. The book is part of a four-volume set.
