Few-body problems on a lattice has been discussed for the first time in 1931 in the famous work of Bethe, and since that time it is investigated more and more intensively. The point is that quasi-particles in a crystal are not free but they interact with each other by forces which are not weak as a tool so they create a few-body bound and scattering states which are of great importance in applications. From the mathematical point of view these systems are described by the few-body Schrodinger operator on a lattice, and we have the peculiar quantum mechanics on a lattice. Though analogous to the standard Schrodinger operators these operators on a lattice possess some interesting and unusual features. Both these mathematical futures and their physical applications are discussed in this book.
