About the authors:

The Director of Science at Kew Gardens, Kathy Willis is currently heading up the development of a new science strategy for Kew as part of a project to expand its world-leading science projects and conservation work including its Seed Conservation Department; bringing together the greatest minds in plant science to find solutions to current global challenges.

A leading designer and illustrator, Katie Scott has been collaborating with Big Picture Press to develop images for their stunning ‘Welcome to the Museum’ series, specialising in cross-sections and detailed anatomical and lifelike representations of animals, historical objects, flora and fauna as well as her ambitious Story of Life timeline fold-out with images that recreate evolution across the ages.
