Documenting a civilization of the medieval era, this work retraces the historic battle of Agincourt that saw the destruction of the French army on October 25, 1415 at the hands of the army of the England's King Henry V. The book describes all the equipment of the typical soldier of the peripd, the use of the longbow, the coats of arms of the knights that took part in the battle and much more are all shown in vivid detail. Christophe Gilliot, whose exhibition in the medieval town of Agincourt, explains all the phases of the campain of Henry V, from the siege of Harfleur to the plains of Picardy, the battle rolled on a deadly course. The first part of the book depicts typical daily life in 1415 by using reenactors from the Compagnie de Saint-Martin and includes detail on civilian life at the time, as well as that of the soldiers. The battle is then described and depicted in detail. The book concludes with a previously unpublished comprehensive description of the heraldic colors and blazons of the sixty French knights killed at the battle of Agincourt.
