All Dogs Have ADHD takes an inspiring and affectionate look at Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), using images and ideas from the canine world to explore a variety of traits that will be instantly recognisable to those who are familiar with ADHD.

Following the style of the award-winning All Cats Have Asperger Syndrome, charming colour photographs of dogs bring to life familiar ADHD characteristics such as being restless and excitable, getting easily distracted, and acting on impulse.

This delightful book combines humour with understanding to reflect the difficulties and joys of raising a child with ADHD and celebrates what it means to be considered `different'. This absorbing and enjoyable book takes a refreshing approach to understanding ADHD.

MEDIA REVIEWS
The author uses adorably cute photos of dogs to illustrate common traits of ADHD. This book will be a helpful addition to the professional library because it can serve as a tool to help children or adults to understand what it may be like to live with ADHD. -- Jaime Parker, Librarian, Irving Independent School District, Irving, TX
Two books (All Cats Have Asperger Syndrome and All Dogs Have ADHD both by Kathy Hoopmann) that use a novel, photographic approach to exploring the characteristic personality traits of ADHD and Asperger's Syndrome... Must-have titles for parents with children diagnosed with either of these conditions, and also for Special Needs co-ordinators and Inclusion Manager... Both highly recommended. -- ACHUKA children's blog
all dogs have ADHD is part of a picture book series along with all cats have Asperger's syndrome, exploring through images the challenges of living with attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in a gentle and humorous way. The pictures and captions present life situations with a thoughtful understanding and focus, too, on positive ways' to channel an ADHD child's energy and talents. -- British Psychological Society, Debate
This sequel to All Cats Have Asperger Syndrome takes the same approach, matching adorable animal photos with the particular traits of children with the disorder. It's an extremely accessible formula, and one that has the potential not only to inform, but to make kids with ADHD feel better about themselves by comparison to such cool critters. -- About.com
I would commend this book as an excellent work to alleviate patients' and parents' concerns, and to introduce the condition to those who may be having difficulty seeing any positives in their lives at the time of diagnosis. -- ADHD in Practice
This is an absorbing and insightful photo-illustrated read, which takes a really refreshing approach to understanding ADHD. This is an uplifting book for anyone, but especially dog lovers, and those wanting to help children they know with ADHD. -- EYE Early Years Educator
It is a book that parents and children can look at together. The photographs are wonderful and suit the dialogue. It is bright and optimistic and implies, with the right help, the child with ADHD will do well. The book also explains the syndrome clearly in simple photographs. The lettering and dialogue are clear and understandable... It is a lovely happy book. -- Hyperactive Childrens Support Group
Although All Dogs Have ADHD is categorized as juvenile literature, and will certainly appeal to many children, I highly recommend it as a "treatment" for tired parents of children with ADD/ADHD and other special needs -- after all, laughter heals." -- ADDitude: Living Well with Attention Deficit
Clearly the author writes from personal experience as she understands the issue so well. This book would give encouragement and reassurance to a child who has been diagnosed with ADHD and the light-hearted insights into the condition would be helpful for parents and siblings as well. -- Home Education Advisory Service
Absorbing and delightful, this book, with its vivid and amusing photography, takes a refreshing approach to understanding ADHD. It combines humour with understanding to reflect the joys and challenges of raising a child who is different. -- Northern Rivers magazine
All Dogs Have ADHD, like its predecessor, All Cats Have Asperger's Syndrome (Hoopmann, 2006) is designed as a teaching aid to help young children to understand their classmates' behaviour or, if you prefer, behavioural disorders. Bright pictures of jolly exuberant dogs with simply worded one-sentence captions in large print make this an ideal tool for the purpose... All Dogs Have ADHD is a handy teaching tool. -- Journal of Mental Health, Informa Healthcare.
