The author is a comparitive newcomer to children's books; on this evidence, he should go far. * Independent on Sunday *
Claude's gentle adventures and Alex T. Smith's irresistible illustrations make this a great book to share with children. * ABC Magazine *
Comic talent not just for writing a good story but also illustrating it in a fitting but hilarious style. * Books For Keeps *
Funny, detailed illustrations. * Mumsense *
colourful and lively illustrations which add immensely to the fun. * Carousel *
Another great talent... a sparing style is the perfect medium for his humorous tale. * Junior *
Readers will be excitedly turning the pages. * Red House Children's Book Award *
Charming and gentle stories, these are a refreshing change from some of the formulaic series around. These are great books for reluctant readers - the stories are amusing, there is plenty happening, passages are short and the pictures are attractive and informative. * *

I liked all the pictures, there are lots of them and they are colourful and funny. I would give this book ten out of ten. I am reading some of the other Claude books now too.

“Say hello to Claude!”

Claude and Sir Bobblysock go on an adventure! This is a really cute, funny book perfect for young readers. Or not so young as it amused me and I did rather fall for the story of Claude and the quirky illustrations!

“Great wee book”

My little boy is nearly 6 and he and his little sister loved this book. When he's a bit older he'll be able to read it himself so hopefully this is a funny little tale that'll be in our house for years...
