Welcome to the new Waterstones.com

Welcome to the new Waterstones.com

Welcome to the new and improved Waterstones.com. We've updated the entire look and feel of our website and made a whole raft of improvements that should make shopping with us easier than ever.

Posted on 16th February 2015 by Rob Chilver & Jonathan O'Brien

You can find out about all the new features here but in summary we've kept what you loved about the old site and improved upon it. Click & Collect is simpler to use, buying a book is even quicker with our new Fast Checkout and our blog articles, featuring content from authors and our expert booksellers, are even easier to find.

You don't need an app anymore - instead the new website will adapt itself to your phone, tablet or computer screen. So you can now take Waterstones with you wherever you are.

We've had a refresh here on the blog as well. With a new look will come a slightly different tone as we look to get more of our booksellers involved. We count film makers, illustrators and published authors amongst our staff and we're looking forward to having them more involved in the future of the blog.

We'd love to hear your questions, comments and suggestions on our new website. You can leave a comment below or get in touch via our Twitter and Facebook pages. We're still busy adding new features all the time so any feedback will be welcome.

The new website really is brilliant: sophisticated modern design with unusually good typography. The typefaces are very well considered and sensitively handled. The overall design is intelligent and cohesive, with an excellent use of white space. The designers should be congratulated, as should the people who commissioned it — thanks for resisting the temptation to jazz it up.

This site is a pleasure to use; and looks and works as well as some of the best available — Apple, for example. It makes me want to use it more often.
