#LEGOLit - winners announced

We're excited to announce the three winners of our #LEGOLit competition...

Posted on 18th March 2014 by Dan Lewis Lewis

It's been incredible to see the creative lengths our readers have gone to in creating their own LEGO versions of scenes from their favourite books - from childhood favourites to the literary classics. It has been very tough to choose just three winners, and even harder to rank those three - but here goes...

Third place...

Complete with close-ups and alternative angles, the detail and quality of Lindsey Williams' recreation of Katniss and Peeta's appearance at The Hunger Games' opening ceremony blew us away.

Second place...

Sometimes simplicity is best though - as proven by Charlotte Rixon's LEGO-isation of The Picture of Dorian Gray... Oh, *spoiler alert* by the way:

The winner...

Elementary! Well, after a lot of discussion it was elementary. Rob Browne's LEGO The Hound of the Baskervilles even has moody fog and lighting effects, for the phosphorus used to make the hound appear a hellish creature... Bravo!

N.B. It's well worth a click to look at the photo close-up!

Many congratulations to all our winners, and once again thank you to everyone who took part.
