Pari Thomson

Half-Persian, half-English, Thomson studied at Oxford University and lived in numerous countries around the world including India, Pakistan, the United States and Belgium before settling in London, close to Kew Gardens. She is an editorial director for picture books at Bloomsbury Children’s Books as well as being the author of the highly acclaimed Greenwild series for readers aged 9-12. An enchanting fantasy adventure with an ecological message, Greenwild: The World Behind the Door centres on a girl called Daisy who enters a magical land abounding in vibrant nature, whilst its sequel Greenwild: The City Beyond the Sea sees Daisy and her friends attempting to locate a group of missing Botanists. Greenwild: The World Behind the Door won the Younger Readers category of the 2024 Waterstones Children’s Book Prize as well as being crowned Overall Winner.
