Nicholas Sparks is a bestselling American romance novelist. Sparks was born in Omaha, Nebraska and studied business finance at the University of Notre Dame. His first novel The Notebook was published in 1996, becoming an instant bestseller. It was followed by a range of hugely popular novels, including A Walk to Remember, The Choice, and The Last Song.
Sparks has published twenty novels in total and is one of the fastest-selling authors of our day. Eleven of his romance-dramas have been adapted to film, all with multimillion-dollar box office takings.
