The author of acclaimed works of science-fiction and fantasy, American author Naomi Novik’s writing is influenced by the European fairy tales and epic fantasy she discovered growing up. She began her writing career developing computer games including Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide and penning fan-fiction. Her first novel, His Majesty’s Dragon was published in 2006 and began her popular Temeraire series. Her later works include the fairy tale-inspired novels Uprooted and Spinning Silver.
