Mark Hix biography and information

Mark Hix is a celebrated chef, restaurateur, and food writer known for his take on British gastronomy. He spent 17 years as Chef Director at Caprice Holdings before opening his first restaurant in 2008, Hix Oyster & Chop House in Smithfield. Since then, he's opened several more.

Hix competed in and won the BBC television series Great British Menu in 2007. He's written a number of cookery books, including Mark Hix: The Collection, a collection of his finest recipes.

The chef has also written for The Independent and Esquire UK.
