Kerri Maniscalco grew up in Hudson Valley and studied Fine Art and Communication Design in New York City. Her love for storytelling and reading was fuelled from an early age by her grandmother, and her father's profession of chiropractor evoked a keen interest in anatomy and forensics, providing inspiration her debut YA novel Stalking Jack the Ripper (2016), in which a seventeen-year-old with a passion for pathology investigates gruesome murders in nineteenth-century London. Three further novels followed in the series, gaining Maniscalco chart-topping success and an avid fan base.
Her 2020 book Kingdom with the Wicked opened an eponymous fantasy trilogy, teeming with curses and dangerous passions and revolving around Emilia, hell-bent on revenging her sister’s murder. It was followed by Kingdom of the Cursed in 2021 and Kingdom of the Feared in 2022.
Ablaze with secrets, betrayal and romance, the seductive closing part of the bestselling Kingdom of the Wicked trilogy presents Maniscalco’s fearless heroine with the final, dark mystery – and one that might end up costing Emilia her heart.
