Karen M. McManus studied English at College of the Holy Cross and subsequently earned her master’s degree in Journalism from Northeastern University.
Her debut, a multi-perspective young adult crime mystery One of Us Is Lying, was published in 2017 and stayed on the New York Times bestseller list for 160 weeks. Its sequel One of Us Is Next came out in 2020 and the books have since been adapted into an eponymous tv-series which premiered in 2021. McManus’ other books include Two Can Keep a Secret (2019), The Cousins (2020), You'll Be the Death of Me (2021) and Nothing More to Tell (2022).
