Harlan Coben biography and information

Harlan Coben was born and brought up in New Jersey. He graduated from Amherst College, where he majored in political science, after which he went to work for his grandfather's travel company.

While still at university, Coben realised he wanted to write for a living. His first book was accepted when he was 26. After publishing two stand-alone thrillers in his twenties he began a series featuring Myron Bolitar, a former basketball player turned sports agent who finds himself investigating murders involving his clients.

In 2001 he released his first stand-alone thriller since the creation of the Myron Bolitar series in 1995, Tell No One. In 2006 it was filmed in France with Francois Cluzet and Kristin Scott Thomas.

Coben lives in New Jersey with his wife and their four children.
