Edward St. Aubyn

A critically acclaimed British author and journalist, Edward St Aubyn is best-known for his semi-autobiographical sequence The Patrick Melrose novels. His first novel, Never Mind, won the Betty Trask Award and became part of a trilogy with Bad News and Some Hope. Later published together under the collective heading of Some Hope the books form the first of 5 novels in the Patrick Melrose sequence, St Aubyn completed the series with the novels Mother’s Milk – which was shortlisted for the 2006 Man Booker Prize and won the 2007 Prix Femina Etranger – and At Last. In 2018 the novels were adapted for a five-part television series by the novelist David Nicholls. Edward St Aubyn is also the author of On the Edge and A Clue to the Exit.
