Stephanie Plum has a whole lot of trouble on her doorsteps. Her Uncle Fred has disappeared and Grandma Mazur is convinced he's been abducted by aliens. Meanwhile, cousin Vinnie has asked her to bring in the vertically challenged Randy Briggs who's jumped bail. But instead of coming quietly, he has taken up residence in Stephanie's closet. The mysterious man called Bunchy is trailing Stephanie in the hope of tracking down Fred. And Benito Ramirez is back from jail, quoting Scripture and vowing to introduce Stephanie to God - face to face. Thankfully Joe Morelli, the irresistible cop, is still around to give her the odd sleepless night - through now he faces tough competition from the enigmatic Ranger..."Hooray for Janet Evanovich who continues to enliven the literary crime scene. One of the funniest books in the series." - "Sunday Telegraph". "Pithy, witty and fast-paced." - "Sunday Times".

UK Kirkus review
The fifth appearance of Evanovich's winning protagonist Stephanie Plum is perhaps the most enjoyable yet. This time around, Stephanie is confronted with her unsavoury cousin's bail enforcement agents and must also face the disappearance of her uncle under very mysterious circumstances. And to further complicate matters a psychotic boxer is out on parole with Stephanie in his sights... not to mention Morelli, the cop who is a sometime presence in her life. As the foregoing suggests, Evanovich has stirred the usual rich mixture in her broth, and the aroma is as heady as ever. As a crime writer, she reads like no-one else and the reader prepared to go with the chaotic flow is in for an exhilarating time. (Kirkus UK)
