Synopsis
Luna, a 36-year-old painter, lives in East London with sculptor, Pierre. Driven by creativity rather than money, the couple have always been happy. Until now. When Luna's father dies she begins to yearn for a child, and starts to see Pierre -- who she'd always considered a heroic, romantic figure -- as an inadequate provider.
At a weekend art workshop Luna meets Jon, a married, young graphic designer from Yorkshire. Jon has always wanted the traditional things in life: a nice home, wife and kids.
At first Luna and Jon they think they are worlds apart. But they realise the one vital key to their own happiness is there in each other: the desire for children.
Is loyalty and love -- and art -- really any competition? And is there ever a good reason to be bad? Hope You're Happy is the story of two basically good, faithful people whose morals ultimately cannot beat the strength of their biology.
