UK Kirkus review
When asked about his sequel to Silence of the Lambs, Thomas Harris expressed his concern that the public was becoming jaded with pursuit-of-serial-killer tales, but Patterson makes this psychopath a particularly memorable monster. His brief chapters (often as short as two pages) will not satisfy those seeking more detailed and leisurely storytelling, but they certainly make for optimum page-turning. (Kirkus UK)
